La Tomatina: a frantic day
La Tomatina is a food fight festival held on Buñol (near to Valencia, Spain), the last Wednesday of August. Thousands upon thousands of people make their way from all corners of the world to La Tomatina in this world’s biggest ‘ Tomato Fight ‘ where more than one hundred metric tons of over-ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets.
La Tomatina is a day full of fun which starts with a tradition called «Palo Jabón», a stick with soap which endpoint has a jam. The challenge is to get the jam. Who will get it?

La Tomatina has been a strong tradition in Buñol since 1944 or 1945, in this video, you will know what is La Tomatina and the craziest celebrations.
The success of this festival is so important that in 2002, was declared as a Festival of International Tourist Interest by the General Secretariat of Tourism.
